Emily will cover Cherubino for Welsh National Opera’s production of Le Nozze di Figaro, conducted by Krem Hasan and directed by Tobias Richter / Max Hoehn. Emily will also perform the role of Cherubino for Welsh National Opera’s Figaro CWTA shows (Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff, Mayflower Theatre Southhampton, Birmingham Hippodrome and Milton Keynes Theatre.)

Repertoire includes: Puccini, Signore, ascolta (Turandot), Mascagni Easter Hymn (Cavalleria Rusticana), Puccini O mio babbino caro (Gianni Schicchi), Offenbach Entr’acte & Barcarolle (Tales of Hoffmann), Humperdinck Evening Prayer (Hänsel und Gretel) and Verdi Quartet: Bella figlia dell’amore (Rigoletto).

Emily will perform as Soprano Soloist for Welsh National Opera’s A Viennese Celebration with the Welsh National Opera Orchestra. Repertoire includes: Strauss Beim Schlafengehen (Vier Letzte Lieder, No.3), Stolz Lied Manon: Du sollst der Kaiser meiner Selle sein (Der Favorit) and Sous le dôme épais (Lakmé).

Emily sang in the Chorus for Glyndebourne’s Christmas Concert, showcasing the talents of the Glyndebourne Chorus and Tour Orchestra. The concert programme included opera highlights, followed by yuletide classics and carols for all.

FINAL | SOMERSET SONG PRIZE

Emily took part in the Somerset Song Prize final with her duo partner George Ireland. The Somerset Song Prize is a biennial national singing competition for young people aged 18 to 26. It is a competition for art song and judges place a special importance on the collaborative relationship between the singer and their pianist.
